Fourth International Workshop on Green and Sustainable Networking (GreenNet 2025)

21 January 2025|Workshops - Conferences

The GreenNet workshop series focuses on the question of how energy consumption and the sustainability of future networks can be improved, and how communication networks and systems can increase sustainability. In addition to reducing the CO2 footprint and the consumption of resources and energy, the focus will be on technical solutions and their positive impact on sustainability (handprint).

The trade-off between availability, resiliency, programmability, and energy efficiency of networks and services is a key challenge for the next decade and monitoring methods and metrics for power consumption, energy efficiency, as well as sustainability are important, as well as benchmarking of solutions based on well-defined KPIs. For that reason, the goal of the GreenNet Workshop is to address emerging concepts and challenges related to energy efficiency and sustainability for networked services. An improved sustainability in all parts of the network in a time of increasing AI/ML usage, evolution of different novel network access technologies, the spreading of edge computing and micro-data centers and the demand in computational and data transport capacity across the edge-cloud continuum is essential.

The submission deadline of the Fourth International Workshop on Green and Sustainable Networking (GreenNet 2025), in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC 2025) in Montreal, Canada, has been extended!

See our CfP at https://icc2025.ieee-icc.org/workshop/ws11-greennet-4th-international-workshop-green-and-sustainable-networking, and submit your contributions via EDAS: https://edas.info/N33189.
